Mar 18 @ 9:00 am - 11:30 am
Dr. Aaron Panken
Biblical and Rabbinic texts create a strong foundation for a longing for Zion that inspired later thinkers, including influencing many early Zionists as they crafted a Jewish national ideology. In this session, we will delve into a selection of core primary rabbinic sources that informed our people’s image of and connection with the Land of Israel, with a special eye toward applicability to the contemporary American Reform Jewish scene. Texts will be in Hebrew, with translations available.
