SUMMARY:Mikveh Monologues
DESCRIPTION:Mikveh Monologues\n\n\n8:30 PM–10:30 PM\nThe Mikveh Monologues shares touching stories of immersion experiences\, teaches about the meaning of the ritual\, and engages audiences in a conversation about the power of ritual in contemporary Jewish life. As a work for the stage\, these ideas become immediate\, accessible\, and moving; outreach in the broadest sense. \nAbout the Mikveh Monologues: The Mikveh Monologues (© 2005 Mayyim Hayyim) was created in 2004-2005 by internationally acclaimed author Anita Diamant and director Janet Buchwald. The play is based on interviews with men\, women and children who have marked a personal life transition by immersing in a mikveh.  In the spring of 2006\, Diamant and Buchwald created The Mikveh Monologues II featuring all new stories and songs.

SUMMARY:Theology as Personal Story: A Rabbi’s Reflections
DESCRIPTION:Dr. Arthur Green\nJudaism since its beginning has been a narrative tradition. We love to tell stories. The most native form of Jewish theologizing is narrative: re-telling the old story in some new and expansive way.\nBut theology is also a highly personal undertaking. At its most honest\, it is an account of one’s own journey through life\, re-told through the language of tradition\, thus enriching both the personal and the collective stories. Here is one man’s attempt to do so. \nDownload: Text Sheet \nKeter Torah: 1.5 hours
